

The Merrickville Lions Club is a small but exceptionally active community-
We are proud of what we have accomplished. And we are proud of the relationships we have developed within our Club and with local groups who have worked with us toward common goals.
With other Lions groups within our district, province and beyond, as well as with Lions International, we will continue to provide support to important projects beyond our borders.
The Merrickville Lions have supported many important causes, including the Ottawa Hospital Foundation’s Ride the Rideau, a fundriser for cancer research.
The inaugural Ride the Rideau took place on September 11, 2010 and took 325 riders
on a 100 km ride from Ottawa to Merrickville-

The Merrickville Lions Campground is situated along the historic and scenic Rideau Canal.
Open from the beginning of May to the end of Canadian Thanksgiving, it attracts a steady stream of newcomers and returning campers each year.
The 36 available spots are in great demand, so be sure to book ahead!

The Merrickville Lions are strong supporters of and a visible presence at many of our community’s events.

Each year, on the August Long Weekend, the Merrickville Lions host Merrickville Canalfest. Our salute to the Rideau Canal includes live musical entertainment, a fine craft show, Voyageur canoe rides, Lions barbecue, kids’ activities and much more.
